Happy Valentines Day & Happy Birthday to my beloved Oregon….
2016 was a busy year here irl, despite it being a quiet year on the blog. I worked hundreds and hundreds of hours preparing for the 2016 election, and hundreds of hours recovering-it was hard to be a Democrat in Oregon, full of joy at our local wins (ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HOW LUCKY ARE WE TO HAVE GOVERNOR KATE BROWN) and to still have the devastating loss of the White House.
Click to view slideshow.On December 22nd, we were married. It was a magical day in the mountains. After 6+ years of love and laughter, we officially became husband and wife. It was a magical day, and I’m so glad to finally be Mrs. Emmons!
We had a little honeymoon in SoCal, and then came on back to the Pacific Northwest.
On January 2nd, we adopted a new four legged friend into our home. We promptly named him Dobby, and he is a free elf now.
In the last month we have spent a lot of time processing, protesting, fighting this administration, and preparing. And I’m ready now. I’m ready now to jump start 2017 with this good ol’ blog. You’ll see a lot of the same things you saw before: fun photos, recipes, camping tips, and far too much alcohol–but you’ll also see a little something new.
We aren’t giving up this fight yet.
